Over the last few weeks, I have been getting to know the Domingo family.   I don’t feel at liberty to share all that I have come to learn about their family.  After all, it’s not my story to tell.  However, I can say, I don’t think I’ve ever met a family who has made me believe even harder that God has a plan for each one of our lives, that each choice we make and path we take is a winding road leading exactly to where we are meant to be.  Not all of the circumstances of our journey are pleasant, but they shape us, make us who we are and prepare us for all that life has.  On Wednesday I sat with a couple who is clearly meant to be together.  Together, they chose adoption as the path to grow their family.  They were chosen to love and care for Bryson and here were are.  A family of 3, one that I feel was handcrafted by a God who loves us deeply and wants to bless us richly.  Domingo’s, I love your story and am thankful to have been a part of it.

A special thank you to Kelci of Pretty Pallets Home Decor for custom designing this crate for Bryson’s newborn session.  I requested “Chosen” on the front and a list of dates on the back.  These special dates mark points along the Domingo’s journey of adoption.  Perhaps one day this crate will sit in Bryson’s room full of books on the inside and his story on the outside.  I can picture his parents telling him his story and someday he can tell his own children when they ask what these numbers mean.  So sweet…
