I am so blessed to have a handful of wonderful friends. The kind of friends I don’t feel like I have to clean my house for. The kind of friends that would do anything at the drop of a hat for me and me for them. Some of these friendships go back to my teens…these people are my family. Sherif and Karla are two of these friends. When I was thinking about some of their best qualities, funny, smart and witty came to mind. They are fabulous to play games with, easy to talk with and people I value opinions from. I don’t think there is anyone more social or better about keeping friendships current than Sherif and he is matched perfectly with Karla who knows when it’s time to stay home with the family and find rest. They both can challenge me spiritually, might know every current event in the world and Sherif could hold a political debate with the best of them. The Potty Training Chronicles…enough said!
But, on top of all else, Sherif and Karla are AMAZING parents. I want my kids to be in their presence. I want their influence in our lives. They are raising thoughtful and kind children who are obedient, mannerly and loving. Two of the 3 of them give the best side eye around. They call me Aunt Courtney. They fill my heart with joy and I am so happy baby #3, Xavier, the XMan is the newest member of our crew.
I hope you enjoy a couple shots from my visit to the hospital and other favorites from Xavier’s newborn session.
